Ok so let’s face it some mornings it can be tough to wake up. Your alarm goes off, you hit snooze and fall back to sleep. Buzzzzz the alarm goes off again…has it really been five minutes already?! Well either way it is time to wake up. You roll out of bed and scramble around wondering how to get the day going. Trust me when I say I have been here more times than I can count! Good news is that there are some tips & tricks that I am about to share with you that I can tell you will absolutely have you saving time in the mornings, and get your day off to a rolling start! So read ahead for a happier and easier way to get your morning going!
1) LAY YOUR CLOTHES OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE
One thing that can really consume a lot of your time and energy in the morning is picking out what your going to wear for the day. Save yourself the time and plan ahead by picking out what your going to wear the night before. This way all you will have to do is put it on in the morning!
2)MAKE BREAKFAST THE NIGHT BEFORE
Not having to worry about what your going to eat in the morning or taking anytime out of your already jam packed morning to think about cooking will really save you some serious time! One great idea for this is to try oatmeal in a jar or make a head breakfast burritos the night before!
3)LAY OFF YOUR PHONE
I know how tempting it can be to want to take the time to go on your phone in the morning to look over your social media accounts or emails, but trust me when I say this can get too distracting. The best idea is to hold off on this until you have fully gotten ready for the day. There will always be time later but in the morning you are already limited on time so don’t crowd your morning routine with your phone!
4) GATHER AND PLACE ESSENTIALS BY YOUR DOOR
One thing that I have started to implement into my morning routine is to gather and place all the things I need to take with me by the door. This includes car keys, phone, purse/bag, jacket, and shoes that way when I’m ready to leave all I have to do is grab my things and run out the door!
5) DRY SHAMPOO IS YOUR FRIEND
Try using dry shampoo in the morning to help you save time! Take a shower the night before, wash your hair and in the morning use some dry shampoo to add a little volume to your hair…trust me this one works and I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful dry shampoo has been for me! I am able to achieve a great hair day without wasting time washing my hair in the morning…and for that I’m grateful. Thank you dry shampoo for being my friend!
6) SHORTENING YOUR DAILY MAKEUP ROUTINE
OK so I know that for some of us it can be difficult to imagine cutting out some of our makeup routine, but this idea has been a game changer for me in my life. I use to spend so much time in the mornings applying foundation, contour, blush, eye shadow and so on. Now I’ve cut so much out of my daily makeup routine and honestly I am so much happier! I now go for a simple clean fresh face look everyday that keeps me feeling light and happy. I encourage for others to try this idea as a great way to save some serious time in the morning!
7)PACK YOUR GYM BAG THE NIGHT BEFORE
One thing that I believe to be essential to your overall health and happiness is getting your daily physical exercise in. I know it can be hard to find the time and motivation to hit the gym but trust me you wont regret making this a part of your life! Your overall happiness will go up and stress levels will go down. In order to encourage yourself to go I suggest packing your gym bag the night before. This will not only save you time in the morning but it will motivate you to go to the gym if you know your bag is already packed and in the car!
