So if you are anything like Sara and I, you know how hard it is to consume all your recommended veggie intake for the day by just consuming vegetables. We knew we needed a solution to incorporate all our veggies into our daily routine in order to get all the vital vitamins into our system. A lightbulb went on and we realized since we were huge on having smoothies daily why not incorporate our daily veggie servings to our smoothies. So we came up with the smoothies down below and we were surprised upon how great they tasted and how they provided us with the right amount of nutritional value in terms of vitamins and nutrients that our body needs for the day!
And if you are making a smoothie anyways, why not put in some servings of veggies? : ) Eat your Veggies Kiddos!
Down below are some yummy but yet great ways to get your vitamin intake for the day : )

1. VITAMIN C BLASTER SMOOTHIE
Vitamin C : Helps boost your immune system ( great for when your sick )
Tip: add ice to your smoothies if you want them to be either colder or smoother : )
* Puree 1/2 large red bell pepper
* 1 large red grapefruit
* 2 large orange * 1 cup of cranberries (Frozen)
*1/2 cup water (if needed), plus ice to make it cold (optional) in a blender. Makes about 4 cups; 2 servings
2. ORANGE TROPICAL SMOOTHIE ( Helps you get that VITAMIN A )
Vitamin A : Helps with VISION ( your eyesight ) Also helps with keeping your skin healthy and bone growth!
Vitamin B : Helps with fine lines on your face, and helps smooth the skin. Helps with digestion and a study by Johns Hopkins shows that it may help with your allergies this summer !
. It’s also loaded with healthy dietary fiber, Vitamin C, B Vitamins, and magnesium.
*Puree 3 medium carrots (sliced),
*1 cup fresh or frozen orange * 1 small banana
*1 cup fresh or frozen mango *1 tsp of cinnamon
*2 cups water in a blender.
Makes about 4 cups; 2 servings.
3. STRAWBERRY PEA SMOOTHIE
You looking to get good amount of FIBER , IRON , VITAMIN A, B , C Potassium, Magnesium. Well this smoothie will give you all of that ! one cup also has 8 grams of protein, which the same as 1 cup of milk. Bananas, apples, and strawberries add even more dietary fiber as well as Potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin B-6, and trace minerals. The yogurt or milk add plenty of calcium, Vitamin D, and another 8+ grams of protein.
* Puree 1 cup frozen peas
*1 banana, 1 small apple (cored)
* 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries * 1 small orange * 1 cup of yogurt (Flavored if you like)
Makes about 4 cups; 2 servings
4. FEEL GOOD SMOOTHIE
Spinach…in a smoothie? Antioxidants here we come. This one is packed with Vitamin C & A also a bonus its got your daily fiber and calcium. Calcium? Lets get them bones strong.
If it comes Thick, add a little bit of water to thin it out. Unless you like your smoothies thick !
*1 cup spinach *1 small banana
*2 heaping cups fresh or frozen blueberries,
*1 large oranges (peeled),
*1 cup milk (I use almond milk) in a blender. Makes about 4 cups; 2 servings
5. GREEN CLEAN SMOOTHIE
This is more of a juice smoothie. I like this one since its a cleanser! When i usually have this smoothie, I feel refreshed and it has a clean taste that leaves me feeling amazing!
Remember Cucumbers have high water content as well as fiber. The apples in here are high in fiber and vitamin c. The Lemons are great because they act as detoxifiers and plus vitamin C . The kale brings tons of vitamin a & c and calcium, magnesium, iron, B6, potassium.
*Puree 1 medium seedless cucumber
*2 apples, 4 kale leaves, chopped (include stem if using high power blender)
*1 large lemon * 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
*1 cup water, plus ice to make it cold (optional.) Makes about 4 cups; 2 servings
